Mosquito Alarm (also known as Mosquito Pulse) Teenage Deterrent and Teenage Dispersal System available to customers in Essex, Kent and London.

Mosquito is a non invasive device that causes no physical pain or damage to the human body, even if someone is exposed to it on a long term basis.

Mosquito is a revolutionary new device that has been specifically designed to disperse groups of teenagers from loitering in vulnerable places and obstructing areas that should be available for all to use.  For example:

  • Outside shop entrances
  • School grounds
  • Construction sites
  • Car parks
  • Railway platforms
  • Industrial premises
  • Residential areas

The system generates a pulsed near ultra-sonic tone at around 16 Khtz, which is close to the limit of the hearing range of people under 25 years old. This sound whilst not painful in anyway, becomes highly annoying after 5 10 minutes exposure. The result is that the majority of under 25s leave the immediate area whilst the majority of those over the age of 30 because of natural age related hearing loss either only just hear or in most cases are totally unaware of the noise.

The Mosquito has already become widely adopted by police and local authorities around the UK and is being hailed as one of the most effective teenage deterrent tools in the fight against teenage anti-social behaviour.

The teenage dispersal system is designed to be used for up to 30 minutes at a time. A timer is included with the unit, allowing the preprogramming of up to 8 on/offs per 24 hour period.

There is also a manual over-ride button that will switch the system on between programmed times if required, for a period of 30 minutes.

To ensure the safety of people exposed to the Mosquito the system has been designed to comply with the HSE 2005 report relating to exposure to noise in the work-place.

The Mosquito has been tested in relation to this HSE report by the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in London. Test outcomes documented by the NPL state that according to HSE guidelines, the sound output of the Mosquito will cause no damage to human hearing even with prolonged exposure and especially not within the 30 minute periods of activation of the device as recommended by Compound Security Systems Ltd.

The Mosquito is designed for external use only, and has a range of 20 25 metres with a 60 degree angle of spread.

Working on a 12v transformer, the system requires only a standard 13 amp domestic power socket and can be mounted with a security cage by a non-qualified person in little over an hour.

Due to the nature of high frequency sound, there is no penetration of the noise of solid objects, therefore no sound will be heard within the premises the system is mounted on OR within any adjoining properties.
