HEALTH & SAFETY

The company has a documented Health and Safety policy, in accordance with current legislation. This is drawn up and monitored in conjunction with the company Health and Safety consultants, Citation Plc. The company is also screened for Health and Safety compliance by the accreditation bodies – Altius, ConstructionLine, ContractorPlus, Exor and SafeContractor. All our security personnel are subject to a Criminal Records Bureau check so that our clients can have complete peace of mind that their security is protected.

We also take the safety and well-being of our own staff and engineers very seriously.
They are trained to recognise potentially dangerous situations and take the necessary steps and will not undertake any procedure or task that they are not trained or insured for.

As a company, our Health and Safety record is unblemished and we are certified annually. It is important that our staff and clients know that we value their security and welfare very highly.

We have a dedicated Health and Safety representative who is responsible for advising management on the current regulations and procedures and ensuring that complete compliance with all Health and Safety regulations. Our staff our issued a Health and Safety policy when they join the team and we expect them to comply with our guidelines.

We recognise that we have a mutual responsibility with our customers to minimise risks, especially to our employees, on customers’ premises. We therefore work closely with our customers to identify risk and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.

Information on any preventative or protective measures to be implemented will be provided to our staff in the Assignment Instructions for the site and appropriate training will be provided accordingly. Regular assessments will be carried out to ensure that information remains up to date and relevant.

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

This policy statement is produced in accordance with the responsibilities of ai security under Section 2(3) of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.

Through management at all levels ai security Ltd. has a responsibility, so far as is reasonably practicable, to ensure the Health and Safety of all its employees while at work, and members of the public, visitors and contractors whilst on its premises and in accepting this responsibility will provide:

  • a safe working environment
  • safe systems of work
  • plant and substances in safe condition
  • facilities for the welfare of workers
  • information, instruction, training and supervision that is reasonably necessary to ensure that each worker is safe from injury and risks to health
  • a commitment to consult and co-operate with workers in all matters relating to Health and Safety in the workplace
  • a commitment to continually improve our performance through effective safety management

EACH WORKER HAS AN OBLIGATION TO:

  • comply with safe work practices, with the intent of avoiding injury to themselves and others and damage to plant and equipment
  • take reasonable care of the Health and Safety of themselves and others
  • wear personal protective equipment and clothing where necessary
  • comply with any direction given by management for Health and Safety
  • not misuse or interfere with anything provided for Health and Safety
  • report all accidents and incidents on the job immediately, no matter how trivial
  • report all known or observed hazards to their supervisor or manager.
