LORRY ROLLING DAMAGE TO GATE

Security Cameras installed by ai security at the entrance of a customer’s premises, were able to capture the events leading up to a lorry rolling in to their sliding gate causing £30,000 worth of damage. The driver had pulled up to the intercom and jumped out of the vehicle to press the button, but inadvertently forgot to engage the handbrake. Needless to say, as the gate was on a slight incline, the results were disastrous. The lorry rolled forward smashing into the gate. The cameras not only recorded the lorry driver’s actions and the exact time of the incident, but as they had NPR number plate recognition technology, they were able to pinpoint details of the vehicle, driver and company. They were able to claim for the full amount of damage through the lorry company’s insurance.
